Puzzle & Dragons X: opening video

July is going to be pretty busy for the Nintendo 3DS, with Yo-kai Watch 3: Sushi / Tempura and Puzzle & Dragons X launching within two weeks of each other (on July 16th and July 28th respectively). It’s actually pretty bad news for the latter, as the latest entry in the Yo-kai Watch series will have the attention of millions of Japanese kids, and it will be hard for GungHo to make itself heard.

At least, GungHo will be able to rely on the TV anime series by Studio Pierrot in order to promote its game (it will debut on July 4th). Talking of animation, CoroCoro magazine (who first revealed the game, last year) uploaded the opening movie of Puzzle & Dragons X on their YouTube channel, earlier today.

The opening movie introduces the story, and the main characters:

• Ace + Tamazo: the protagonist (can be a young girl, too)
• Lance + Devi: the protagonist’s rival
• Charo + Toyceratops: a young boy from Liblia (known as the wood town)
• Tiger (14 years old) + Flare Drall: a young boy from Geyser (known as the fire town)

Puzzle & Dragons X (3DS) comes out on July 28th in Japan.
