Speaking of Pokémon Detective Pikachu, it has been announced that Pokémon GO is to get a special collaboration event with it, starting next week. Here’s the various features and bonuses of this event:

  • Select Pokémon featured in the movie will appear in raids.
  • Pokémon that appear in the movie will show up more frequently in the wild (including Bulbasaur, Jigglypuff, Psyduck, Aipom, and Snubbull)
  • Shiny Aipom will appear, if you’re lucky enough!
  • If you’re lucky, you could be photobombed by a Pikachu in a detective hat—with a chance to catch one of your very own!
  • Specially themed Field Research will be available for a limited time during this event.
  • Themed avatar items will be available in the Style Shop.
  • Double XP for catching Pokémon

The Pokémon Detective Pikachu event will be live from:

  • Europe: May 7th (10PM) to May 17th (10PM)
  • UK: May 7th (9PM) to May 17th (9PM)
  • North America (ET): May 7th (4PM) to May 17th (4PM)
  • North America (PT): May 7th (1PM) to May 17th (1PM)
  • Japan: May 8th (5AM) to May 18th (5AM)
