Pokémon Shuffle
Today, some new and returning stages went live in Pokémon Shuffle:
- the UB Challenge featuring Xurkitree is back until January 23rd;
- the Great Challenge featuring Palossand is also back until January 23rd;
- the High-Speed Challenge featuring Thundurus is also back until January 23rd;
- the Great Challenge featuring Lycanroc is also back until January 23rd;
- the Competitive Stage featuring Mega Salamence is now available until January 23rd;
- the Special Challenge featuring Electrode is now available until January 23rd;
- the Great Challenge featuring Mareanie is now available until January 30th.

Pokémon Duel
Today, it was announced that a new Software update for Pokémon Duel would be released tomorrow. It will bring the game to Ver. 5.0.6, with the following changes:
Drapion
- Figure alteration: Movement increased from 1 to 2
Arbok
- New Ability: Shed Skin
- Poison Fang: power increased from 40 to 50
Seviper
- New Ability: Rapid Approach
- Toxic Fluide: wheel size increased
- Poison Tail: wheel size increased
- Wrap: wheel size decreased

Pokémon Sun and Moon / Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon – Special Battle Season 8
Today, the rules for Special Battle Season 8 in Pokémon Sun and Moon / Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon have been revealed. They run from January 23rd to March 12th, and they are as follows:
- Battles: Single Battle, 3 Pokémon out of 6 sent to battle;
- Pokémon allowed: National Pokédex;
- Pokémon restrictions: only 1 Pokémon from the following list is allowed in your team: Mewtwo, Mew, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Celebi, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Jirachi, Deoxys, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, Arceus, Victini, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Keldeo, Meloetta, Genesect, Xerneas, Yveltal, Zygarde, Diancie, Hoopa, Volcanion, Cosmog, Cosmoem, Solgaleo, Lunala, Necrozma, Magearna, and Marshadow;
- Level: 50 (lowered if above that);
- Item restrictions: 2 Pokémon cannot have the same hold item.
