Pokémon Detective Pikachu

Today, it was announced that Pokémon Detective Pikachu will open on May 10th, which is the same day as various other countries around the world.

Here’s a brand new poster for the movie:

Pokémon Detective Pikachu comes out on May 3rd in Japan, and May 10th in Europe and North America.

Pokémon Duel

Heads up for those of you who took part in the April’s Fools event yesterday in Pokémon Duel: the Bibarel figure is now available as Log-in Bonus, though only until April 5th!

Pokémon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, and Ultra Moon

Starting today, the Championship Battles format on Battle Spot and the VGC rules for the various Pokémon Championships are using to the Ultra Series format. Here’s all the details:

  • Battles: Double
  • Pokémon allowed: National Pokédex (must have been caught in Pokémon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, or Ultra Moon)
  • Pokémon restrictions: you can only have two of allowed Legendary Pokémon in your team ( Mewtwo, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Xerneas, Yveltal, Zygarde, Cosmog, Cosmoem, Solgaleo, Lunala, Necrozma)
  • Pokémon banned: Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Deoxys, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, Arceus, Victini, Keldeo, Meloetta, Genesect, Diancie, Hoopa, Volcanion, Magearna, Marshadow, Zearora or Ash-Greninja
  • Items allowed: all items (including Mega Stones, Z-Crystals)

If you want to train, you can get those rules via Download Rules from the Festival Plaza in both Pokémon Sun and Moon and Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon.
