Pokémon news (Feb. 2) – Pokémon Shuffle, Virtual Console

Today, Pokémon Shuffle (which is celebrating its 1st anniversary) reveived a new update, bringing it to Ver. 1.2.31. You need to the use the check-in feature in-game to get it, which will then unlock some new stages/challenges:

  • Time Challenge featuring Shaymin Sky Forme, available until February 16th
  • a Challenge featuring Reshiram, also available until February 16th
  • Thundurus is back on both Nintendo 3DS and Mobile, with a special Challenge stage playable once a day until February 9th
  • Carnivine is also back on both Nintendo 3DS and Mobile, with a special stage in which all items are useable for free. You can play it on weekdays until February 16th.

Also, rewards are being sent out for the Mega Sharpedo challenge. As usual, the reward you get depends on your overall rank:

  1. Top 1,200 players in Europe, Top 3,000 players in North America or Top 5,000 players in Japan: Sharpedonite + Mega Speedup
  2. Top 15,000 players on Mobile: Sharpedonite + Mega Speedup
  3. Top 12,000 players  in Europe, Top 20,000 players in North America or Top 50,000 players in Japan: Sharpedonite
  4. Top 80,000 players on Mobile: Sharpedonite
  5. Top 18,000 players in Europe, Top 30,000 players in North America or Top 80,000 players in Japan: Attack Power Up
  6. Top 120,000 players (but no Sharpedonite) on Mobile: Attack Power + Jewel
  7. Not ranked: Disruption Delay
  8. Not ranked on Mobile: Jewel

Virtual Console

This morning, Nintendo uploaded a video for Pokémon Red / Green / Blue / Yellow on the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console, with gameplay footage for those games.

Here it is:

Pokémon Red / Green / Blue / Yellow (3DS, Virtual Console) will be released on February 27th, worldwide.

Mew distribution

Yesterday, The Pokémon Company revealed details for the Mew distibution in more countries:

  • Denmark: February 22nd to April 30th at Toys ‘R Us
  • Sweden: February 22nd to April 30th at Toys ‘R Us
  • Norway: February 22nd to April 30th at Toys ‘R Us
