[N-Direct] Miscellaneous announcements from the September 13th/14th presentation
In this post, we’re going to put all the “minor” announcements from the latest Nintendo Direct presentation (September 13th/14th), that we didn’t deem important enough to warrant a separate post (either because nothing really new was shown, or there simply isn’t anything to say). It’s possible this post will end up with lots of videos, so if you’re on mobile… you’ve been warned!
Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires’ Conspiracy
Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires’ Conspiracy was quickly mentioned in the Nintendo Direct, but nothing really new was shown. That being said, we did get a small announcement: players on Nintendo 3DS will be able to get an exclusive costume for Katrielle. It will be available as a Download Code from select retailers (including the Nintendo eShop, most likely).

Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires’ Conspiracy (3DS) comes out on October 6th in Europe and North America.
Metroid: Samus Returns
Metroid: Samus Returns was briefly mentioned during the Nintendo Direct, but nothing much was shown… not surprising for a game releasing the following day!

New Nintendo 3DS XL + Nintendo Selects
During the European presentation, Nintendo briefly mentioned the SNES-themed New Nintendo 3DS XL and the three new Nintendo Selects launching on October 13th in Europe. Click here for more details about that!
Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney
Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney is one of the the games showcased during the Nintendo Direct presentation, but nothing really new was shown or said about it. For more details, make sure to check out this post instead!
Splatoon 2
During the Nintendo Direct presentation, a new weapon and a new stage for Splatoon 2 were revealed. You can find more details about them in this post!

Morphies Law
Revealed during the Nindies Summer Showcase a few weeks ago, Morphies Law was once again showcased during the latest Nintendo Direct presentation. Unfortunately, nothing really new was shown…

Rocket League
Rocket League was showcased during the latest Nintendo Direct presentation, where we got another look at the exclusive Nintendo-themed cars. Unfortunately, still no release date!

Rocket League (Switch – eShop) will be released this Winter worldwide, and will cost 2 000 Yen (most likely 19.99€ / $19.99).
Flip Wars
During the Nintendo Direct, a new update for Flip Wars was announced and showcased. Said update is now available, and you can find more details about it on this page!
NBA 2K18
NBA 2K18 was briefly mentioned during the Nintendo Direct, but since it was releasing the following, nothing much was said about it. The retail release is still coming on October 17th, no change there!
WWE 2K18
WWE 2K18 was also briefly mentioned during the Nintendo Direct, but nothing was announced… not even the release date!
EA Sports FIFA 18
EA Sports 18 was also briefly mentioned during the Nintendo Direct, but nothing was announced. The game is releasing on September 29th, worldwide.
Pokkén Tournament DX
Pokkén Tournament DX was also briefly mentioned during the Nintendo Direct, but nothing was announced. The game is releasing on September 22nd, worldwide.
ARMS
ARMS was showcased during the Nintendo Direct, and it was for Ver. 3.0. The update was released right after the presentation (as we expected), and you can find more details about it on this page!

Lost Sphear
Lost Sphear was also briefly mentioned during the Nintendo Direct, but nothing was announced. The game is releasing on January 23rd in Europe and North America (October 12th in Japan).

Sonic Forces was also briefly mentioned during the Nintendo Direct, but nothing was announced. The game is releasing on November 7th in Europe and North America, and November 9th in Japan.

Resident Evil Revelations 1 + 2
Resident Evil Revelations and Resident Evil Revelations were also briefly mentioned during the Nintendo Direct, but nothing was announced. Both are releasing on November 28th in Europe and North America, and November 30th in Japan.
L.A. Noire
L.A. Noire was also briefly mentioned during the Nintendo Direct, but nothing was announced. The game is releasing on November 14th in Europe and North America, and December in Japan.
Yo-kai Watch 2: Bony Spirits / Fleshy Souls
Ahead of the release of Yo-kai Watch 2: Psychic Specters on September 29th, Yo-kai Watch 2: Bony Spirits / Fleshy Souls are getting an update. That update is already available in North America, but not yet in Europe for some reason.

Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney
Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney was also showcased during the Nintendo Direct, but nothing really new was shown or announced. The game is out on November 22nd in Japan, and this November in Europe and North America.
