Miitopia: Casting Call “demo” now available for download

On July 28th, European and North American players will be able to discover Miitopia: a unique game that would be best described as the strange mix between Tomodachi Life and the Find Mii RPG. For players who want to try out the game before launch, there’s now a second “demo” available on the Nintendo eShop, called Miitopia: Casting Call.

In Japan, it’s that demo that was released first, before the game launch (and it was updated once). In fact, the second demo (the one that was released a few weeks ago in Europe and North America) wasn’t released until several months after the full game (and was most likely developed for the western release primarily).

While the first demo offers actual gameplay, Miitopia Casting Call is actually an “interactive trailer”. You don’t get to do anything: you just watch a funny scene from the game itself, giving you a taste of what to expect in the full game.

The “interactive” bit refers to the fact that you can actually choose the Mii that appear in the trailer, which is why you have to download it in the first place.

Here’s a trailer showcasing… well, the trailer itself:

To download this demo, you need 682 blocks / 85.25MB of free space on your SD Card. The trailer can be played in English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, and Dutch.

For more details and footage about the game, make sure to check out this pretty exhaustive post!

Miitopia (3DS) comes out on July 28th in Europe and North America.
