Miitomo: new update available (Ver. 2.1.0)

A few weeks ago, back in November, Nintendo released a major update for Miitomo. It was followed a few days later by the usual stability update, that fixed some issues that popped up following. And today, yet another update was released, and unlike the previous one, it does add a couple of new features to the game.

Here’s the list of changes/additions for this new update, which brings Miitomo to Ver. 2.1.0:

  • Your sidekick Mii characters will be able to answer questions.
  • “Sidekick Central” will be added. A place where you can share your sidekick Mii characters’ answers with other users.
  • Emoji in your Mii characters’ answers will trigger sound effects.
  • Various performance improvements.

To download this update, you simply need to tap the notification that should appear on your device. Alternatively, you can simply go to the Play Store (Android), or the AppStore (iOS), and select the update from the list. You will need 15.17MB of free space on your Android device, and ???MB of free space on your iOS device.

To check that you have the latest version of Miitomo installed, simply launch the game: you should see Ver. 2.1.0 at the bottom right corner of the screen (alternatively, you can see that in the “Other” section of the Miitomo Menu).

Warning for users with rooted devices (or detected as such by Nintendo): this new version isn’t compatible with Security Bypasser, so you should refrain from updating until an update for that is available.
