Indies: details for Xeodrifter and Gunman Clive HD Collection on Wii U

Xeodrifter

Yesterday, Jools Watsham gave an update on sales for Xeodrifter (3DS) in Europe… and unfortunately, things aren’t looking too good right now. The first week sales are only barely equal to the sales in North America… during the first day. Even if the game was featured on the Nintendo eShop front page, sales have been kind of sluggish so far in Europe. It looks like the late release has hurt the game’s chances, though without any concrete data it’s hard to draw any conclusion at the moment.

Jools Watsham also announced that the Wii U version of the game has been sent to Nintendo of America’s lotcheck, and should come out in the upcoming weeks. There’s also some great news for owners of the Nintendo 3DS version: they will get this Wii U version for free… no matter when they bought the game on 3DS! The price for those who don’t already own it: 9.99$.

Gunman Clive

Last week, Bertil Hörberg announced that Gunman Clive 1 and 2 were coming to the Wii U eShop, as Gunman Clive HD Collection. As the name implies, it’s a collection of the two Gunman Clive games, but in HD: 1080p, 60fps, and 4xAA for a picture as clear as possible.

Bertil Hörberg hopes to send the game to Nintendo of America’s lotcheck sometime this week, which means release isn’t too far away (at least, in North America). Unfortunately, the game will need to be re-rated in Europe and Australia, which means that the collection will most likely not launch at the same time there.
