Fire Emblem Engage manga adaptation announced, will be serialized in Saikyou Jump starting next month (+ free wallpaper)
Fire Emblem Engage comes out today worldwide, and to celebrate, Nintendo and Intelligent Systems announced that a manga adaptation is on the way! This new Fire Emblem manga is written and illustrated by Kyou Kazurou (DEAD-end HOST, Gensou Kojiki Den, Himedoll!, Houkago Doll), and will be serialised in Saikyou Jump (a monthly magazine) and in the Shounen Jump+ app.
The March issue of Saikyou Jump (out on February 3rd in Japan) will feature a Prologue chapter, showing events that took place before Alear woke up in the Somniel. Serialisation proper will kick off in the following issue (out on March 3rd in Japan).
For those planning to reach the manga via the Shounen Jump+ app, the first 3 chapters will be available for free permanently, while subsequent chapters will only remain free for 3 weeks following publication). Right now, it’s not clear how many chapters this Fire Emblem Engage manga will get.

Unfortunately, it’s not clear if / when this manga will officially be available in English.
This Fire Emblem Engage is not the first manga based on the Fire Emblem series (far from it). For example, Fire Emblem Fates got one (focused on Leo), and back in 2015, a manga by Shin Kibayashi (Fire Emblem Fates writer) and Kozaki Yusuke (Fire Emblem Awakening and Fire Emblem Fates character designer) was announced, though it was ultimately cancelled.
Finally, Nintendo released a Fire Emblem Engage wallpaper via My Nintendo, and can be claimed for free from this page. Here’s the sizes available:
