Etrian Odyssey V: trailer for the Masurao class

Last week, Atlus announced that Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth, the 5th entry in the mainline Etrian Odyssey series, would be released on October 17th in North America (that’s in two months!). We don’t have a release date for Europe just yet, but we do have another trailer for the game… the Masurao class, to be more precise!

The Masurao class is the one to pick if you want to defeat the many monsters found in the Yggdrasil tree by slashing at them with katanas. After all, their specialty is in slicing and dicing at enemies, using beautifully crafted Japanese swords.

It’s best to put them on the frontline, so they can slash at everything in their path, or even attack multiple opponents at once with a single attack. You can also use them to lure rare enemies into combat thanks to the New Challenger skill. This allows you to get better items, and gain more experience. Naturally, the better the skill, the rare the enemies lured, and the rarer the enemies, the greater the rewards!

The Masurao can specialise in two things:

• one sword
• several swords: they can wield up to four of them!
