Mable & The Wood
Graffiti Games have announced another game for the Nintendo Switch: Mable & The Wood. It’s a unique Metroidvania developed by Triplevision Games, with a neat twist: you can actually beat the game without defeating a single enemy… including bosses, provided you find the secret passages that allows you to do so. The game will be released this Summer, in Europe and North America.
Here’s the debut trailer, some details, the list of key features, and some screenshots:
In Mable players hunt down massive beasts and, upon destroying them, shapeshift into their forms in order to use their powers to save or destroy the world. Players with less violent intent can find secret paths to complete Mable without killing anything, including bosses. Unlike most Metroidvanias Mable does not allow players to run, jump and kill on their own. Instead, they must use non-human forms to attack creatures and traverse through difficult challenges.
- Free Reign – Players are free to make decisions on how they play and who they slay.
- Combat is Movement – Mable isn’t strong enough to lift her magical sword, so she must use it in unique ways to help move through the world. Players can use non-human forms to harm enemies for a limited time, but vanquishing creatures extends her power.
- Hunt Great Beasts and Take Their Shape – Defeat the great beasts to take their abilities and transform into a giant mole, medusa, spider and more.
- Explore a Dying World – A large and varied fantasy world, brought to life with state-of-the-art pixel technology and a beautiful original soundtrack.
- Multiple Endings – Mable features different routes to take through the world and secrets to discover that provide players with multiple endings.

♪ Learn about your true heritage in challenging rhythm battles ♪
On the quest to learn more about his true legacy, Birb follows every lead he can find! Doing so, he does not always end up with benevolent characters like the wise owl, but also crosses the paths of mischievous troublemakers! No matter the encounter, earn their respect in challenging rhythm battles and help little Birb to find more about himself!
♫ Find musical notes and embellish the background music ♫
In Songbird Symphony, you are able to influence the background music with your puzzle-solving skills! ♫ May the music guide your wings! ♫
Songbird Symphony is a musical adventure that tells the heartfelt story of Birb, a small orphaned bird that one day wakes up alone in a strange forest and is picked up by the slightly hyperactive but caring Uncle Peacock. Somewhat like in “The Ugly Duckling“, the other birds reject the chick for looking different, which doesn’t keep little Birb down and he embarks on an adventure to find out about his heritage.
Songbird Symphony (Switch – eShop) comes out on July 25th worldwide.
