Devil Survivor 2 – Record Breaker: trailer for the Battle system

Earlier this week, Atlus released a brand new Theme for the Nintendo 3DS, based on Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker. And yesterday, the publisher revealed another trailer for the game, focused on the Battle system. After all, the game isn’t all about the story, the Fate system or Demon Fusion!

This trailer explains that before each battle, you get a list of objectives you’ll have to complete: they allow you to see the victory and defeat conditions. Then, you have to set skills, in order to get the advantage during battles, and you position your characters on the battlefield.

And once the enemy is in range, the battle starts. One particular aspect of the battle system is that you can get an extra-turn by taking advantage of enemies weaknesses. Be careful though, as the enemies can do the same (just like in Shin Megami Tensei IV). Finally, you can level-up your character, to make them stronger… nothing really surprising in a RPG!

Devil Survivor 2 – Record Breaker (3DS) comes out on May 5th in North America, and this Autumn in Europe.
