DBZ: Extreme Butoden rated in Australia, western release pretty much confirmed

According to Media Markt (a chain of supermarket in Spain), Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden will come out on October 30th in Europe. No doubt we’ll be getting a confirmation next week!

Looking at the listings on the websites of the variouss age rating organisations (such as the PEGI for Europe, the USK for Germany or the ACB for Australia) is a good way to find out which games are bound to get a western release. Indeed, pretty often a game shows up there even before its publisher makes an official announcement.

And it looks like Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden (on Nintendo 3DS) is the latest game to pop up there before an official localisation announcement. The Australian Classification Board has given the rating PG (for Parental Guidance) for the game, along with a “Very Mild Impact” warning for language, and a “Mild Impact” warning for Violence. There’s also a mention of online interactions.

With this rating, the western release of Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden is pretty much confirmed, at least for Europe. In fact, the only thing left is a proper announcement from Bandai-Namco, which should come at E3 (which starts next week), or maybe at the Japan Expo (France), in July.

Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden (3DS) comes out on June 11th in Japan.
