Dai Gyakuten Saiban: more details about Tobias Gregson, Famitsu scans

This week, Dai Gyakuten Saiban: Naruhodou Ryuunosuke no Bouken is featured in Famitsu magazine, with an 8-page article… and a rather gorgeous cover!

This week’s issue focuses on Tobias Gregson, who is a detective at Scotland Yard and a lover of fish ‘n chips. He’s appeared in the Sherlock Holmes stories written by Iris Watson, much to his pride and vexation. In the interview, Shu Takumi explains that Tobias Gregson is kind of like the 19th England equivalent of Detective Gumshoe.

The article also gives us a good look at Sherlock Holmes and Iris Watson’s home, and shows what the famous detective looks like in his everyday clothes. Apparently, the reviewers really enjoyed their time with the game, though one of them was surprised by Episode 2, which doesn’t have a trial section.

Finally, there’s the interview with Shu Takumi (Director) and Shintaro Kojima (Producer), in which we learn that the script for the game was only finalised in April. Since it had been quite a while since he had written Phoenix Wright, after writing Apollo Justice, Shu Takumi struggled a bit with the writing for this game: all this influenced how he wrote Naruhodou Ryuunosuke.

Finally, he explains that he’d love to make a sequel for Dai Gyakuten Saiban: Naruhodou Ryuunosuke no Bouken, but for that to happen, the game has to sell well!

Finally, here’s the scans from Famitsu magazine:

Dai Gyakuten Saiban: Naruhodou Ryuunosuke no Bouken (3DS) comes out on July 9th in Japan.
