Yoshiaki Koizumi’s AMA

Earlier this week, Yoshiaki Koizumi held an AMA session on Reddit, where he got to answer various questions about his own career, and of course Super Mario Odyssey. He didn’t reveal anything particularly spectacular or anything, but it’s still a real joy to read his various answer. For example, here’s what he said about coffee:

I’m very particular about my coffee. I buy my beans, I grind them. I weigh the grounds and measure the volume of water. The water cannot be too hot unless the coffee will become bitter, so I like to pour over using a long stemmed pouring kettle. It has to have a long, narrow pouring spout or too much water will come out at once.

The whole thing has become a ritual for me, I really enjoy the good smell of the coffee as I make it.

Miitopia

Earlier this week, Nintendo release the demo for Miitopia in North America. Unfortunately, that demo is still MIA in Europe… but not for much longer! Nintendo has confirmed that the demo would be released next week in Europe, on June 22nd to be precise. For more details about the demo and Miitopia, click here!

Nintendo Minute

Here’s the latest episode of Nintendo Minute, which happens to be about Super Mario Odyssey:

Hi, it feels so good to be back! We had such an amazing week at E3. One highlight was definitely getting a chance to play Super Mario Odyssey with the game’s developers, Mr. Koizumi and Mr. Motokura. We explore both the desert area and New Donk City. The game is absolutely incredible. We hope you love it as much as we do. As always, thank you so much for watching and we’ll see you next week!

Well, the project came to a successful conclusion, with the reveal of the game at the Southern-Fried Gameroom Expo on June 10th.
