Daily Briefs (Aug. 25, Round 2): Shovel Knight getting new languages, more

Today’s Daily Briefs… round 2! We have: Shovel Knight getting new languages, but also…

  • Splatoon interview
  • SteamWorld Collection
  • Meta Knight Nendoroid
  • Play Nintendo Show

Splatoon interview

Today, IGN published a rather unique interview with Hisashi Nogami (Producer) and Katsuya Eguchi (Nintendo EPD Manager). Instead of asking usual questions, they asked the two developers to pick sides in several Splatfest questions (including some new ones created especially for this “interview”). You can check out all the answers by clicking here!

Here’s our favorite:

Eguchi: “I choose cats.”<
Nogami: “I choose dogs.”
Nogami: “I prefer dogs, but I actually have a cat at home as a pet.”
Eguchi: “I actually own a dog.”
Nogami: “My reason for preferring dogs is that I feel you can communicate with them more deeply. Cats just kind of go off and do their own thing.”
Eguchi: “I prefer that cats are more selfish and do their own thing. I like that they’re independently spirited.”

Shovel Knight

Yesterday, Yacht Club Games announced that Shovel Knight would soon be playable in two additional languages: Russian, and Brazilian Portuguese. The update bringing those two languages is already available on PC, but for the console version, it looks like we will have to wait until the next major udapte!
