UK: video games sales for Week 42, 2015 (ending October 17th)
Week 42 was a week of drops for Nintendo in the United Kingdom, with both Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer and Super Mario Maker dropping in the Top 40. The first one is #9, and lost one place because of Tales of Zestiria (which landed at #8), while the second one is #13 (instead of #10), also because of new releases.
Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer and Super Mario Maker are the best-selling titles on Nintendo 3DS and Wii U respectively. As for Mario Kart 8 (second best-selling title on WiiU), it makes its comeback in the Top 40 this week, at #34: it will be interesting to see how long it will manage to stay this time!
There were several new releases last week in the United Kingdom, starting with Dragon Ball Z Super Butoden. Unfortunately, the game sold pretty poorly: it’s only #10 of the Nintendo 3DS-only chart, 4 places behind the Nintendo Selects edition of The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds.
Here’s the rank of the other Nintendo Selects titles on Nintendo 3DS:
- Yoshi’s New Island (#11)
- Mario Party: Island Tour (#18)
- Star Fox 64 3D (#21)
- nintendogs + cats: Golden Retriever (#27)
- Mario Tennis Open (#48)
