The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – Gameplay demonstration, special OLED model announced

As announced yesterday, Nintendo shared a brand new video for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom today. It’s a gameplay demonstration hosted by Eiji Aonuma (Producer of the Legend of Zelda series), who came to showcase Link’s fancy new abilities. He also announced that development is now officially completed!

Here’s the video, which runs a little over 10 minutes (with a special announcement just after!):

In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you’ll decide your own path through the sprawling landscapes of Hyrule and the mysterious islands floating in the vast skies above. The journey is yours to create in this sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, an epic adventure across the land and skies of Hyrule. In a world fueled by your imagination, you’ll need to harness the power of Link’s new abilities to fight back against the malevolent forces that threaten the kingdom.

The announcement at the end of the video is about a special Nintendo Switch OLED model, logically called Nintendo Switch – OLED Model – The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Edition. It’s releasing ahead of the game, on April 28th in Europe and North America, and April 29th in Japan. It costs $359.99 / 38 980 Yen, which is the same price as a regular OLED model.

This special edition includes the following:

  • Nintendo Switch – OLED Model (special design)
  • Joy-Con (L + R) (special design)
  • Joy-Con Wrist Straps (special design)
  • Nintendo Switch Dock (special design)
  • Joy-Con Grip
