SteamWorld Heist – Ambassador Challenge #2: Design a Hat

Last week, Image & Form launched their SteamWorld Ambassador program, allowing some fans to play SteamWorld Heist before its launch (later this year), and even get some exclusive info.

And today, after being blown away by the creative entries of the first challenge, Image & Form launched the second challenge, which tasks fans to… design a hat! Apparently, robots in SteamWorld Heist has sort of a hat fetish (they must be avid Team Fortress 2 players!), and wearing a cool headpiece is central to their existence. In fact, the game also has a nice “feature”: you can shoot off enemy hats… and wear them!

For this challenge, players who want to design a hat can do it on whatever support they want. They can also give their headpiece a name, and come up with a short backstory if they so desire.

Here’s the guidelines for players interested in participating:

We need your design by Friday May 8th at 23:59 CEST (EU) / 22.59 BST / 5:59 PM EDT / 2.59PM PDT (NA). We’ll pick a winner over the weekend and reveal the first SteamWorld Ambassador in next week’s Tuesday update. We reserve the right to judge whether the winning entry appears in the final game or not, and might alter the design to fit it into the art style.
