SUPERCHARGED SUMMER I   
Special Events:
  • Prepare to be blown away by the seamless mix of explosive acceleration and butter smooth drifting of the new B class rank king, the Lotus E-R9! Its Special Event will kick off with a max free try stage of the main car, so anyone can get a feel for it! To progress, you’ll need the Pagani Zonda HP Barchetta (featured in a parallel key hunt), the McLaren F1 LM, Spania 2015 GTA Spano, Peugeot 9×8, Zenvo TSR-S, and the brand-new Grand Prix car, the Maserati GT2.
  • The future is now, old Legend! The Faraday Future FFZERO 1 returns with a bang, this time in an Unleashed event!    
  • The Special Hunt format is back, this time with the Glickenhaus 007s! Are your credits ready?   
  • SSC Tuatara Special Event is back! Unlock or level up your owned SSC Tuatara, along with the SE support cars.    
  • Maserati GT2 will hit the tracks in a dedicated Grand Prix event. Don’t forget that it’s a support car in the Lotus E-R9 SE!   
  • The McLaren Speedtail Starway returns!

SUPERCHARGED SUMMER II  
Special Events:
  • A new Special Event for the Nissan GT-R Neon Edition is here to make a splash! The first stage is Max Free Try, so everyone can get a taste for this flashy ride!   
  • The new McMurtry Spéirling will be available through an Unleashed event, having McLaren GT, Aston Martin DBS Superleggera, Lamborghini Reventón Roadster, and Apex AP-0 as supporting cars. The Apex AP-0 will be featured in a parallel hunt to the Unleashed event, so worry not if you don’t own it yet!  
  • The Starway rotation will continue with the Lamborghini Huracán Evo Spyder Event!  
  • Missed it the first time? The Ferrari 296 GTB Grand Prix will rerun! Do you have what it takes to win against the competition? 

PLUS ULTRA! A thrilling, season-long My Hero Academia dedicated Special Event will arrive. It will feature no less than 8 epic decals, including two animated ones! The first 10 stages are free try, so make sure you play through as much of the event as possible to collect exclusive rewards!

  • Formula E is back! The second TLE in the series will kick off the season.

NEW FEATURE: OVERCLOCK

Overclock is a temporary boost to a car’s stats which can be applied to select cars in your garage.

Each Season will feature a select list of cars that will be available for Overclocking.

The cars available for Overclocking each Season can change and are ensured to include some useful picks that will surely be helpful in the upcoming events.

Overclock Chips can be obtained as rewards during Overclock Time-limited events, purchased directly from the Shop in offers and bundles, and can be included in other event rewards in the future.

Italian Revolution Season I

NEW GAMEPLAY MECHANICS: BREAK-THROUGH

We’re introducing a new gameplay mechanic – Break Through. Starting this update, you might encounter special objects that can only be broken by performing a shockwave or a 360.

These special breakables will initially appear in the new Norway tracks and in certain game modes throughout the Festive Sparks and Dragon Race seasons.

  • Events: Set the tracks ablaze with the Year of the Dragon seasonal event, featuring the W Motors Lykan Hypersport, the Apex AP-0, and the Vanda Electrics Dendrobium.

  • Special Event: Down the Rabbit Hole featuring the Jaguar XJ220S TWR.

There’s a new currency in town. The limited currency will be usable for the first time in the Racing Through Fire Season. It will have its shop.

We are happy to announce that this season brings a whole new reward system: Season Tokens!

As Seasons move by in Asphalt 9, the team wanted to find a way to reward our players who participate in all our events throughout a season, while also offering a way to unite your efforts to help work towards our seasonal rewards.

By participating in our events during a season, you’ll be able to earn Season Tokens, that you’ll be able to spend on Season Rewards!

New track! Welcome to Paris

Experience the streets of Paris as never before as you race along the Seine, past the Eiffel tower, and around other famous landmarks.

This new track, instead of being released through a dedicated Career Season, will be included right off the bat on Multiplayer, Special Events, and Time-Limited events, hoping that more players can race the street of Paris early on. Additionally, try to overcome more powerful opponents in Multiplayer before they know the track by heart!

 
Get ready for Road Test!

In this new update, we’re introducing a new recurring event type! Test the new

Faraday Future FFZERO1

in the inaugural Road Test event. During the event, you will be able to use and upgrade a loaned version of the car. Complete the event tasks to gain blueprints and unlock and star up your own personal version for your collection!

This event will be recurrent and offer multiple chances to get the featured car, but try your best, as your progress within the event, will be reset for each edition (including any car upgrades you made to the loaned Road Test version)!

We’re back with another new feature chosen by the Community through Asphalt Board! As many of you requested, we will now give you the option to hide ghosts from Grand Prix & The Clash races from your settings menu.

If you meet certain criteria (mostly veteran players) After reaching the goal combo for the day, you will now be able to claim all daily goals automatically with just one tap!

Animated Decals are coming to the game!

We’re happy to announce the launch of the very cool Animated Decals! These will bring life to your car in a spectacular fashion and will be available through the store. Also, you will be able to test them out in events. Early cars that will get an animated decal are the Ultima RS, Lotus Evija, Renault TreZor, and Bugatti Bolide cars.

Drive Syndicate Undercover Ops!

 

For the first time take control of the new security cars to chase down and intercept syndicate drivers before they can escape you to win. The mode will introduce brand-new gameplay mechanics allowing you to:

  • Enter the intercept mode to gain a boost of speed allowing you to catch up to your targets.
  • Execute a takedown at the right time to eliminate opposing cars ahead of you OR time it right to spin into a 90-degree block to eliminate an opponent approaching from behind.

This new game mode will be available only through the Drive Syndicate Special Event at this time. Additionally, the Lamborghini Murciélago LP 640 Roadster will be available to all players for the first time during this event.

Cosmetic Changes

  • The Bugatti Chiron and Porsche 911 GTS Coupé (the patch notes list the wrong model) have recieved new visual parts.
  • The blueprint requirement to unlock or star up a car is shown in the garage next to the car’s icon.
  • The “Scoop” section in visual parts has been renamed to “Roof”
  • Trade coins pop-up notification can now be closed by tapping on it.
  • The pop-up notification for only claiming credits or tokens has been removed.
  • Pop-up notifications now has a reminder for the daily goal combo reward.

How to download updates for Asphalt 9: Legends for the Nintendo Switch?

To download the updates for Asphalt 9: Legends, you have three options:

  • let the console do its thing if you have automatic downloads activated, and didn’t completely turn it off

If not…

  • try to launch the game from the Home Menu while being connected to the internet. You should get a prompt when doing so: simply follow the instructions on screen;

OR

  • select the game > press either + or – to go to the Options page > select Software update > select Via the Internet.

To check that you have the latest version installed, simply select the game on the Home Menu, and press – or + to go to the Options: the version number is displayed just below the game title.
