Splatoon: results of the third Japanese Splatfest

Update

The results of the third Japanese are now out… and it’s the Milk team who won against the Lemon Tea team!

Splatfest JP 3 Results

***

Splatfests are special 24 hour long events that will take place regularly in Splatoon. During those, players have to answer a question (like “Do you prefer cats or dogs?”), before joining a team depending on their answer. At the end of each Splatfest, the team with the most points win, so if you want to show people why cats are so much better than dogs, you better step up your game during Turf Wars!

The second North American Splatfest started a few hours ago, and the second one for Europe will kick off this evening, but we already have the date for the third Japanese Splatfest… July 25th to July 26th (next week)! This time around, players will have to chose between two flavours of Kirin tea: Lemon Tea vs Milk Tea.

Once again, this Japanese Splatfest features product placement, as Kirin is an actual brand of tea sold in Japan. We’re not quite sure what kind of deal Nintendo has with the companies who had/will have product placement in Splatoon via the Splatfests, but it wouldn’t be surprising if the money was used to cover the cost of the development of new content updates.

This third Japanese Splatfest will take place on July 25th, at:

– Japan: 3PM
– Europe: 8AM
– UK: 7AM
– North America (EDT): 2AM
– North America (PDT): 11PM (July 24th)

NB: once again, this Japanese Splatfest is only for players with a Japanese copy of the game.
