Splatoon Global Testfire: Nintendo livestreams on May 8/9

Yesterday, right after the Splatoon Direct, Nintendo released a special demo for Splatoon called “Splatoon Global Testfire”. This trial version is a bit special, because you can only play it during certain periods of time (click here for more details!).

If you can’t play the demo during those times, don’t worry: Nintendo will have three livestreams for it. There will be one for Japan, on NicoNico (no account needed), one for the UK (on Twitch), and one for North America, also on Twitch (with the Nintendo Treehouse team).

For North America, the livestream will coincide with the first play session for Splatoon Global Testfire. The Nintendo Treehouse Team will get to showcase the demo, and play with some players online. It will be streamed on Twitch, at:

– North America (West): 8PM (Friday, May 8th)
– North America (East): 11PM (Friday, May 8th)
– Europe: 5AM (Saturday, May 9th)
– UK: 4AM (Saturday, May 9th)
– Japan: 12PM (Saturday, May 9th)

For Japan, the livestream will coincide with the second play session for Splatoon Global Testfire, on May 9th. Some guests and a researcher from the Squid Research Lab will also get to showcase the demo. It will be streamed on NicoNico (no account needed), at:

– Japan: 7.30PM
– Europe: 12.30PM
– UK: 11.30PM
– North America (East): 6.30AM
– North America (West): 3.30AM

In the UK, the livestream will take place during the second play session, at 12PM on May 9th. It will be livestreamed on Twitch.
