Senran Kagura 2: extended launch trailer; 1 million sales for the series worldwide

After many months of wait, Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson is finally available in Europe (it will come out at 3PM CET / 2PM BT on the Nintendo eShop, and on September 15th in North America). To celebrate, Marvelous Europe has uploaded an extended launch trailer for the game: it shows some story cutscenes, and introduces the various playable characters from both academies (Hanzo and Hebijo).

If you’re planning to pick up the game, don’t forget you can get an extra character (Murasame) for free if you already own Senran Kagura Burst: here’s a video showing you how to do just that!

Finally, let’s end with some good news for fans of the series. This morning, Kenichiro Takaki announced that total sales for the Senran Kagura series had topped one million worldwide. Unfortunately, he didn’t provide more specific data (for each game and/or region for example), but since all games on traditional platforms have been (or are being) localised, it means that sales in the West are more than satisfactory to Marvelous.
