Sales milestones: Sea of Stars / 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim

Sea of Stars

Last week, the long-awaited Sea of Stars was finally released worldwide. And it looks like the game is off to a great start, with no less than 100 000 units sold… in just one day (including all pre-orders, most likely)! No regional or platform breakdown is provided, though. No doubt the game will go on to reach many more milestones, and will have no trouble selling over 1 million units eventually.

Nintendo Switch (South Korea)

As part of its latest financials results, Daewon Media (one of the South Korean distributors) shared some shipments data for the Nintendo Switch in South Korea (as of June 30th):

  • Hardware: 1,541,593 units shipped, including 59,775 units for Q2 2023
  • Software: 5,540,612 units shipped, including 441,519 units for Q2 2023

Quick reminder: Daewon Media is just one of the distributors in South Korea (Nintendo being the other one), which means the numbers above are not total shipments for the country).
