RPG Maker Fes: 100 000 downloads for RPG Maker Fes Player, update and DLC out next week

Last week, RPG Maker Fes was released on Nintendo 3DS in Japan. For those who still don’t know, it’s a game that allows players to easily create their own RPG. We will get the very first sales data for this game tomorrow, but today, Kadokawa shared some data for RPG Maker Fes Player: a free app that lets you play games created by other players (along with official distributions).

RPG Maker Fes Player was released one week before the full game, on November 16th, and it’s off to a good start. According to Kadokawa, it has already been downloaded over 100 000 times. To celebrate, a new DLC pack will be released in less than two weeks, on December 8th. Called Chibi Character Set, it will include various chibi character models, and will be available for free.

But that’s not all: on the same day, Kadokawa will also release the update announced last week. Its main function is to double the amount of save slots, allowing to save (in theory) up to 32 RPGs at the same time. The update will also include various bug fixes, along with adjustments for the walking speed, and more.

Here’s some screenshots for the additional content:

The update and the Chibi Character Set for RPG Maker Fes will be released on December 8th in Japan.
