Pokémon Sun and Moon – Global Mission

Today, the latest Global Mission for Pokémon Sun and Moon ended, and it was another success. With this one, players were tasked with defending their Champion title. Players had until July 10th to collectively become Champion at least 100 000 times. They ended up doing it… 235 111 times!

Here’s the list of rewards:

Goal Reached (100,000 League Champion titles):

  • PGL members earn 4,000 FC
  • Non-PGL members earn 2,000 FC

Bonus Goal Reached (200,000 League Champion titles):

  • PGL members earn a Moon Ball

Individual Contributor (1 League Champion title, whether or not the collective goal is met):

  • PGL members earn 5 Rare Candies

As usual, the additional rewards (Moon Ball, Rare Candy) will be available later this month, via a Serial Code distributed on the Pokémon Global Link.

By the way, the next Global Mission will have you win at the Loto, in Festival Plaza.

Pokémon Sun and Moon – Special Battle Season 5

Today, the rules for Special Battle Season 5 in Pokémon Sun and Moon were revealed. Here’s eveything you need to know about them:

  • Duration: from July 18th to September 12th;
  • Battles: Single, you send 3 Pokémon to battle;
  • Rules: Inverse Battle (type strengths/weaknesses have been reverse, making Fire-type attack effective against Water-type Pokémon, for example);
  • Pokémon allowed: National Pokédex (but from Pokémon X, Y, Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire, Sun, or Moon)
  • Banned Pokémon: Mewtwo, Mew, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Celebi, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Jirachi, Deoxys, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, Arceus, Victini, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Keldeo, Meloetta, Genesect, Xerneas, Yveltal, Zygarde, Diancie, Hoopa, Volcanion, Cosmog, Cosmoem, Solgaleo, Lunala, Necrozma, Magearna, Marshadow, and Ash-Greninja;
  • Max level: 50 (lowered if higher)
  • Item restrictions: you cannot have two Pokémon holding the same hold item.

Pokémon Shuffle

Today, some new and returning content went live in Pokémon Shuffle:

  • a special stage featuring Registeel is back until July 25th;
  • a special stage featuring Alola Cap Pikachu is now available until July 18th;
  • an Escalation Battle featuring Mew is now available, and offers special rewards up to Level 500. Available until July 25th.

Also, a new Competitive Stage featuring Shiny Mega Rayquaza is now available (until July 18th). Here’s the various rewards you will be able to claim, based on your rank:

  • Top 100 players in Europe, Top 100 players in North America, and Top 500 players in Japan = Gyaradosite, 5 Mega Speedup, and 10 Raise Max Level
  • Top 300 players in Europe, Top 400 players in North America, and Top 1 500 players in Japan = Gyaradosite, 4 Mega Speedup, and 8 Raise Max Level
  • Top 500 players in Europe, Top 800 players in North America, and Top 3 000 players in Japan = Gyaradosite, 3 Mega Speedup, and 6 Raise Max Level
  • Top 900 players in Europe, Top 1 300 players in North America, and Top 5 000 players in Japan = Gyaradosite, 2 Mega Speedup, and 4 Raise Max Level
  • Top 1 800 players in Europe, Top 2 500 players in North America, and Top 10 000 players in Japan = Gyaradosite, 2 Mega Speedup, and 2 Raise Max Level
  • Top 3 600 players in Europe, Top 5 100 players in North America, and Top 20 000 players in Japan = Gyaradosite, 1 Mega Speedup, and 1 Raise Max Level

  • Top 7 200 players in Europe, Top 10 000 players in North America, and Top 40 000 players in Japan = Gyaradosite, 1 Mega Speedup, and 1 Disruption Delay
  • Top 9 000 players in Europe, Top 13 000 players in North America, and Top 50 000 players in Japan = Gyaradosite, and 1 Attack Power
  • Top 13 000 players in Europe, Top 18 000 players in North America, and Top 70 000 players in Japan = 1 Disruption Delay, and 1 Attack Power
  • Not ranked: Attack Power

NB: if you already have the Gyaradosite, then you will get 1 Level Up instead.
