Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon

Following the reveal, last week, The Pokémon Company has finally provided more details about Dusk Lycanroc in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon… including a trailer and some screenshots!

Let’s start right away with the trailer:

As you’ve probably noticed, Dusk Form Lycanroc shares some of the aspects of both other forms:

  • Midday: four-legged stance, obedience towards its trainer, four rocks around the neck
  • Midnight Form: its eyes turn red when it attacks, mane on its head

According to The Pokémon Company, Dusk Lycanroc has a tranquil demeanor, but also a well of intense fighting spirit hidden within. It focuses on combat at closer quarters, and can use Counter when battles get intense.

Dusk Lycanroc can learn the following moves:

  • Accelerock (from the Midday Form): a physical move that allows you to always strike first;
  • Counter (from the Midnight Form): inflict double the damage received by an opponent’s physical attack

As for its ability, it’s Tough Claws: itgreatly increases the power of moves that make direct contact.

Thanks to CoroCoro magazine, we already know that the only way to get Dusk Lycanroc will be to evolve a special Rockruff, distributed at launch. The Pokémon Company confirms that, and shares more details about this distribution. It will take place from November 17th to January 10th, via the Nintendo Network.
