Pokémon Sword and Shield
The latest issue of CoroCoro magazine, to be released on Monday (April 15th) shares details about a name naming contest for Pokémon Sword and Shield in Japan. Here’s details about the move that fans have to come up with a name for:
- Type: Steel (Special)
- Damage: 140
- Effects: deals lots of damage, but causes the user to lose half its HP
And here’s some additional details about the contest:
- Name: has to be 8 characters long (Katakana, Hiragana, Romaji)
- Deadline: May 10th
- Prizes:
- 1st place (1 winner): Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield
- Runner-ups (20 winners): Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield
More details about the contest should surface later this week, and on Monday at the very latest.
Pokémon Sword and Shield (Switch) comes out this Fall worldwide.

As announced last week, the latest Software update for Pokémon Duel was released today. It adds the following figures:
- UX Figures = Arceus, Blacephalon, Stakataka, Mega Steelix, Mega Metagross, Shiny Mega Rayquaza
- EX Figures = Victini, Steelix, Shiny Metagross
- R Figures = are Rapidash
- UC Figures = Ponyta
The following events also went live:
- special Time Boosters available during weekends
- Log-in Bonus: Shiny Metagross, UX and EX Cubes (weekly)
- Player Pass: Honedge, Doublade, Aegislash coming this month; Shiny Mega Rayquaza figure and Meteoric Teaching plate now available

The Pokémon Company have revealed the latest A Day with Pikachu figure by Funko Pop, coming “soon” to the Pokémon Center Online website. This time, the figure features Pikachu and Flabébé!
