Pokémon Shuffle

Today, some new and returning content went live for Pokémon Shuffle:

  • some new regular stages on Nintendo 3DS and Mobile;
  • the Escalation Battle featuring Cresselia is back until August 9th. This time, you get Skill Swappers at Level 50, and you get to play on special Coin Stages throughout the battle;
  • the special stage featuring Zygarde 10% Forme is also back until August 9th. It gives you a chance to get Zygarde Skill Boosters;
  • the special stage featuring Landorus is also back until next week. You can play it once a day;
  • the special Try ‘Em Items featuring Wobbuffet is also back until August 9th;
  • the Pokémon Safari featuring Elgyem, Beheeyem, Drowzee, Hypno, Frillish, Jellicent, and Mesprit is also back, but until August 19th.

Finally, the rewards for the Mega Sceptile challenge are being sent out for qualifying players. Here’s what you can get, depending on your rank and region:

  1. Top 1,200 players in Europe, Top 2,000 players in North America, Top 5,000 players in Japan = Sceptilite + Raise Max Level;
  2. Top 8,000 players on Mobile = Sceptilite + Mega Speedup;
  3. Top 12,000 players in Europe, Top 20,000 players in North America, Top 50,000 players in Japan = Sceptilite;
  4. Top 18,000 players in Europe, Top 30,000 players in North America, Top 70,000 players in Japan = 2 Attack Powers;
  5. Top 80,000 players on Mobile = Sceptilite All other players get a Jewel. It runs until April 12th;
  6. Top 120,000 players on Mobile = 2 Attack Power.

You have until August 2nd to get your reward, by using the check-in feature in-game.

Battle competition

Today, a new battle competition was announced: the Unova Classic. Here’s the rules:

  • Battles: Triple Battle
  • Pokémon allowed: Pokémon in the National Pokédex from 001-649
  • Banned Pokémon: Mewtwo, Mew, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Celebi, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Jirachi, Deoxys, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, Arceus, Victini, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Keldeo, Meloetta, and Genesect.
  • Banned items: Mega Stones are allowed
  • Registration: from August 18th to August 28th
  • Battles: from August 26th through August 28th
  • Prize: special Darmanitan (Level 35, based on N’s Darmanitan), with the Zen Mode ability, and the following moves: Thrash, Belly Drum, Flare Blitz, and Hammer Arm.

Pokémon World Championships

Yesterday, The Pokémon Company revealed the streaming schedule for the Pokémon World Championships, taking place from August 19th to August 21st in San Francisco. You will be able to watch everything from this website!
