Pokémon news (Jan. 12) – Pokémon Shuffle: new stages / Pokémon Rumble World trailer
Pokémon Shuffle
Today, a brand new update for Pokémon Shuffle went live (Ver. 1.2.29). As usual, it gives access to some new content, such as:
- new stage featuring Infernape (3DS and Mobile), running until January 26th.
- new stage featuring Dusknor (3DS and Mobile), running until January 19th (3DS) / January 26th (Mobile).
- new stage featuring Arceus (3DS)
- Daily Pokémon (Mobile), until January 22nd. The Pokémon available are:
- Wynaut on Monday
- Torkoal on Tuesday
- Zangoose on Wednesday
- Luvdisc on Thursday
- Seviper on Friday
Also, rewards are being sent out to players who participated in the Mega Swampert challenges. Here’s what you can get, depending on your rank:
- Top 10,000 players in Japan, Top 3,600 players in North America, and Top 2,300 players in Europe: Swampertite + Mega Speedup.
- Top 50,000 players in Japan, Top 18,000 players in North America, and Top 12,000 players in Europe: Swampertite.
- Top 70,000 players in Japan, Top 24,000 players in North America, and Top 16,000 players in Europe: Attack Power + Disruption Delay.
- Not ranked: Jewel.
You have until January 29th to get your reward.

Battle competition
Today, the rules for the Special Battle Season 14 were announced. They are as follows:
- Runs from January 19th to March 15th
- Games: Pokémon X, Y, Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire
- Battles: Double Battle
- Pokémon allowed: National Pokédex
- Special Pokémon allowed: Mewtwo, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Xerneas, Yveltal, and Zygarde (no more than two per team).
- Banned banned: Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Deoxys, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, Arceus, Victini, Keldeo, Meloetta, Genesect, Diancie, and Hoopa.
- Banned Pokémon: Pokémon which are not from Pokémon X, Y, Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire (capture or hatched).
- Level: 50 max (reduced if above)
- Team: up to 6 Pokémon, 4 Pokémon sent to battle
- Items: two Pokémon cannot have the same hold item.
