Feature Additions/Adjustments

  • Adjusting the Camera
    • Expanding the camera range on the field in the Past and Ginormosia, allowing players to see farther into the distance.
    • Adding “Camera Operation (Normal / Far)” to the Options screen.

    • Adjusting Flying with Skelegon so it can be used while jumping or swimming.
  • Adjusting Life Songs
    • Adding an option to re-listen to Life Songs, which play when reaching Master Rank for a Life, by speaking with the respective Life Master.
  • Adjusted Farming Actions
    • Updating controls so that “Water Plants” can now be performed with a different button from “SowSeeds” and “Harvest”.
    • Adjusted “Sow Seeds” and “Water Plants” to target all tiles on the farm.
    • Players will now automatically sheath their weapon when dashing during harvesting.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue so the Pegasus Mount can now be obtained from the treasure chest located inside the Guilde Office & Paladin’s Guild in Eternia Village.
  • Fixing an issue in Main Story Chapter 3, “Place the sign and furniture,” where in case the required sign or furniture is lost via gifting or selling, the item will be available for purchase at Marco’s Shop in the Base Camp’s Guild.
  • Fixing an issue in Main Story Chapter 3, “Place the sign and furniture,” where progress could not be made if the required item was of Top quality.
  • Fixing an issue where setting a skill that inflicts status effects on enemies could also apply the status to the player themselves.
  • Fixing an issue where the no-mount zones were larger than intended on the Tropica Isles.
  • Fixed an issue so the Pegasus Mount can now be obtained from the treasure chest located inside the Guilde Office & Paladin’s Guild in Eternia Village.

Feature Additions/Adjustments

Adjusted Lock-On

  • Added a setting in the Options menu to select automatic lock-on to the nearest enemy when drawing a weapon.
    • To enable this feature, turn on “Auto-Select Target” in the settings.

Ajusted the Hagram Build

  • Adjusted the Hagram Build feature so that after grabbing an object, pressing the cancel button will return it to its original position.

Ajusted God’s Touch

  • Adjusted God’s Touch so it can be canceled by performing actions such as attacking or dodging.
  • Adjusted the button used to activate God’s Touch when using a gamepad.

Expanded Key Configuration for Gamepads

  • Expanded the range of keys that can be assigned to certain commands.
    • You can now further customize your control layout, such as by swapping the attack and dodge buttons.

Added a Graphics Option

  • Added a setting for “Depth of Field (Post-Processing).”

Graphics Enhancements

  • Improved shadows and reflection effects, and extended the distance at which objects are rendered for an overall enhancement in visual quality.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue in Treasure Groves where routes were not generated correctly, making it impossible to play normally.
  • Fixed an issue where some treasure chests appeared open even though they had not been interacted with.
    • After the patch is applied, unopened chests (including those that contain items which can be collected multiple times) will be restored to a closed state.
  • Fixed an issue where Guild Quests did not register as completed even after fulfilling the requirements.
  • Fixed an issue where the remaining effect count of meals with Gathering or Crafting boost effects was not decreasing correctly after consumption.

Feature Additions/Adjustments

Adjusted the Weird Pad

  • Adjusted the Weird Pad so that the Encyclopedia Screen can now be accessed directly, instead of only through the Activities Menu.
  • Adjusted the Encyclopedia Screen to become available starting from Chapter 1 of the Main Story.
  • Added a “Title Screen” button to make it easier to return to the Title Screen.

Adjusted The Number of Items Craftable at Once

  • Increased the amount of items that can be crafted at once for “Plant,” “Fence” and “Streetlamp” Recipes.

Adjusted The Map Screen

  • Added icons to the Map Screen and Minimap to make it easier to understand the location of a dungeon’s entrance and access points to upper/lower floors.

Adjusted Recording-restricted Segments

  • Adjusted the restricted segments for the device’s built-in video recording feature.
    • These adjustments do not affect the existing guidelines for posting videos and still images.

Adjusted the UI of the Quests Screen

  • Adjusted the UI in the “Life Challenges” tab of the Quests screen to make it clearer that a Life can be selected.

Adjusted Multiplayer

  • Adjusted multiplayer so that progress can be made on accepted quests even during multiplayer sessions.
  • Adjusted quest completion notifications to display during multiplayer.
  • Adjusted the Quest screen to be viewable during multiplayer.
    • Some features on the Quest screen are not available during multiplayer.
  • Adjusted the Quest progress count to work correctly during multiplayer.

Adjusted the UI of the Quests Screen

  • Adjusted the UI for the “Life Challenges” tab on the Quests screen, making it clearer when you can report to a Life Master, even if it’s not your currently selected Life.

Added “Instant Help”

  • Added a new feature called “Instant Help” to support players as they progress through their adventure.

Balance Adjustments

Adjusted Multiplayer in Treasure Groves

  • Added an additional reward of one “Treasure Grove Sapling” for the host player after clearing a Treasure Grove in multiplayer.

Adjusted the Gallery

  • Increased the amount of money earned when companions purchase items from the Gallery.

Adjusted Constructions at the Base Camp

  • Increased the construction limit for Bridges and Slopes at the Base Camp from 8 to 20.

Adjusted Item Drops

  • Adjusted the following gatherable items to drop “Dark Fire” and “Mysterious Slate”
    ・Luminous Darkwood Tree
    ・Luminous Magic Ore Deposit
    ・Dark Fish

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the scroll speed of Notices displayed at the top of the screen became too fast depending on the FPS.
  • Fixed an issue in multiplayer on Ginormosia where objects were displayed differently between players.
  • Fixed various minor bugs.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented progress if the items to be received from the Collection Box at the Guild Office would exceed the player’s inventory limit.
  • Fixed an issue which occurred in the Evershop related to the acquisition of items.
  • Fixed an issue where equipment obtained from treasure chests would sometimes have incorrect parameters.
    • Upon application of this patch, parameters will be corrected automatically.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented progress upon restarting the game, after editing and saving Stickers/Emotes/Quick Texts in the Greetings tab of the Options while inside a Treasure Grove or a Shrine in Ginormosia.
    • Upon application of this patch, save data in which progress had become impossible will be restored to a working state.
  • Fixed an issue occurring on certain cutscenes, where pausing the game while the “Auto” setting is enabled caused all inputs except for “Skip” to become unresponsive.
  • Fixed an issue related to working with Trip (2P Family Co-op), where Trip’s pinning effect would target the incorrect enemy.
  • Fixed a number of Japanese and translated texts.
  • Addressed an issue where the required recipe in Novice Life Challenges for Crafting Lives were difficult to locate
    The required recipe will now be displayed at the top of the ”Quests” tab.
  • Fixed an issue where players were unable to draw their weapon during the first battle tutorial, preventing progression.
  • Fixed an issue where the “!” icon on the Quests menu would not disappear.
  • Fixed an issue where progressing through the Novice Life Challenge during Chapter 5 of the Main Story, “Reach the cave’s center,” could prevent the player from saving or flying with Skelegon, making further progress impossible.
  • Fixed an issue where clearing a shrine in Ginormosia during Chapter 6 of the Main Story, “Go to the Cave of Trials,” could cause the player to become unable to enter the cave, making further progress impossible.
  • Fixed an issue where completing the Bulletin Board quests at the Base Camp did not properly count as completed, preventing Island Rating from increasing.
  • Fixed an issue where using a Guild Office Relocation Kit after triggering the Guild Office expansion event scene, while carrying the kit, would result in two Guild Offices appearing.

Feature Additions/Adjustments

Added “Signature” Feature for Crafted Items

  • Players can now leave a “Signature” on any equipment they craft—be it weapons, shields, armor, or life tools.
    Added various Signature designs, and one can be selected at a workbench via the option “Choose a Signature.”
 

Added “Controls” to Options Menu

  • Added a menu to the Options that allows button remapping for certain actions.

Added “Go to Life Master” Feature

  • Added a new feature to the Life Menu that allows moving to the location of each Life Master.
    • This feature will become available after completing the “Novice Challenge” of each Life.

Adjusted Crafting Settings to Remember Buddy Selection

  • Adjusted the Crafting Settings window to save the selected Buddies when crafting items at a workbench. The next time an item is crafted, the screen will display the same Buddy selection as last time.

Organized Skill Information Display in Equipment Menu

  • Organized the way Skill information is displayed in the details window on the right side of the Equipment Menu for improved clarity.
 
When a Life is in focus only Unique Skills will be displayed.
When an Item is in focus only Equipment Skills will be displayed.

Adjusted Base Camp UI

  • Adjusted how vegetable icons are displayed on the farm.
  • Added name display for buildings placed in Base Camp.

Adjusted Base Camp Objects Making Them Easier to Grab

  • Adjusted object placement in Base Camp to make objects easier to grab.

Adjusted Clear Condition Text in the Treasure Grove

  • Adjusted the text for the floor clear condition “Obtain Eternian Fruit” to make it easier to understand which target drops the item.

Adjusted Parameters Related to Main Story Progress

  • Adjusted the parameters of certain enemies and gatherables to improve the gameplay experience during Main Story progression.
  • Adjusted the parameters and requirements of certain Recipes to improve the gameplay experience during Main Story progression.

Adjusted Parameters Related to Area Challenges

  • ● Eased the conditions required to achieve a Gold rating in Legendary Challenges.
  • ● Eased the conditions for achieving a Gold rating in Legendary Challenges involving item delivery.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue that caused the objective indicator for the Main Story/Life Challenges/Personal Requests to not work properly.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented progress if the player character was incapacitated in the interval between starting the game and reaching Eternia Village.
  • Fixed an issue related to the acquisition of certain items in Chapter 5 of the Main Story.
  • Fixed an issue where enemies and follower NPCs would not properly navigate the terrain in Ginormosia.
  • Fixed an issue where Phantom characters’ stats would not change in accordance to the Area Rank.
  • Fixed an issue where EXP would not be shared after collecting EXP drops or completing Crafting Mini-Games while a Phantom character is in the party.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented the acquisition of certain Recipes as quest completion rewards, in case the Tailor or Artist Novice Challenges were skipped.
    • Upon application of this patch, Recipes that were not received will be automatically given to players that meet the appropriate conditions.
  • Fixed an issue where NPCs would become invisible when skipping the Novice Challenge for certain Lives.
  • Fixed an issue where the target gatherable in a Buddy Request would not be registered in the Encyclopedia upon completion of the quest.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the game to become unresponsive when using the “Request” option to craft items over the carry limit and not selecting a Buddy.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented Objects from being placed on third-level ground in Base Camp.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented the completion of the Guild Quest “Receive the highest review score for your art gallery” at the Base Camp Bulletin Board.
  • Fixed an issue that sometimes prevented items buried at the Aging Altar from being dug up.
  • Fixed an issue where an Aged weapon’s “Years Aged” stat would not be displayed to the receiving player if given as a Gift.

To download the updates for FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time, you have three options:

  • let the console do its thing if you have automatic downloads activated, and didn’t completely turn it off

If not…

  • try to launch the game from the Home Menu while being connected to the internet. You should get a prompt when doing so: simply follow the instructions on screen;

OR

  • select the game > press either + or – to go to the Options page > select Software update > select Via the Internet.
