Nintendo: updated launch schedule (January 2017)

As usual, Nintendo revealed its updated planning for upcoming Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS titles today, along with its financial results for H1 2016-17. Unfortunately, this is a document for investors, who can check out how many games are coming out for each platforms. It’s not a list for consumers or even the press, with exact dates or anything. Therefore, do not expect to find many new release dates in the charts below.

The list below doesn’t have anything really new first-party-wise, just the confirmation that Hyrule Warriors will be published by Koei-Tecmo themselves in Japan (just like Hyrule Warriors and Hyrule Warriors Legends were).

As far as third-party are concerned, there are a couple of stealth announcements/confirmations:

  • Cooking Mama: Sweet Shop is headed to Europe and North America, courtesy of Rising Star Games;
  • Urban Trial Freestyle 2 is also head to Europe and North America.

And in case you’re wondering: no, Project Giant Robot is not listed as TBD on Wii U, because Nintendo isn’t listing upcoming releases for the Wii U anymore.

As for Dr. Kawashima’s Devilish Brain Training : Can You Stay Focused?, it’s still listed for the 3DS in Europe. It will remain on that list until it doesn’t make sense any more for Nintendo to make investors believe they have more 3DS games coming than they actually do any more.

We will update the Upcoming Releases page asap!
