Canada
Yesterday, Nintendo shared some sales data for the Nintendo Switch in Canada (following the data for the United States, shared last week). Just like in the United States, the console was the best-selling video game system in October, but it’s also the best-selling one for the year as a whole (in the US, it’s still the PlayStation 4).
Combined, the Nintendo Switch, the Nintendo 3DS, and the SNES Classic account for 62% of total Hardware sales in Canada in October, which is less than in the United States (75%).
Super Mario Odyssey was also quite successful: it’s the best-selling game for the month, despite launch on October 27th (only a few days tracked). Speaking of Software sales, 1/4 of dollars spent on games in October was for a Nintendo title. As a result, Nintendo was the most successful publisher during that month (the company is already #1 for the full year, with 23% share).

Super Mario Odyssey
According to the BIU (Bundesverband Interaktive Unterhaltungssoftware), Super Mario Odyssey is off to a fantastic start in Germany. The game received the BIU Sales Award in Gold in October, which means it’s sold over 100 000 units in the country.
