Shironeko New Project
Yesterday, Colopl announced Shironeko New Project for the Nintendo Switch, to be released in 2020. As explained in the announcement post, this is a rather interesting turn of events, as earlier this year, Nintendo sued Colopl for patent infringement.
Today, a Nintendo representative told Nikkei that the game announcement and the lawsuit were two completely separate maters, and so there is (officially) no link between the two. There’s most definitely something happening behind the scenes, but it doesn’t look like something that will be made public (certainly not anytime soon).
Here’s the latest episode of Nintendo Minute, which isn’t about a game in particular:
Hi, summer is here yay! We want to celebrate the sunshine and warm weather with some of our favorite summer-themed levels. Today we play Super Mario Kart, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD and Splatoon 2. We feel like these games really embody the summer spirit. Let us know in the comments below if you agree and if you have go-to summer games that you love to play. As always, thanks so much for watching and we’ll see you next week!

It doesn’t reveal anything really new, but we do learn an interesting tidbits: Nintendo has further updates planned for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, though it’s not clear what he means by that (more DLC on the way?).
Yesterday, Nintendo finally revealed the winners of the Nintendo Labo Creator Contest: you can check their creations on the official website! There were several categories (with several winners for each one):
- Best Decorated Toy-Con
