Nintendo Badge Arcade: new update available in Japan (Ver. 1.3.1)

Nintendo Badge ArcadeYesterday evening and this morning, Nintendo Badge Arcade was down for maintenance. It turns out this was to prepare for the release of a new Software update for the game, which seems to be only for Japan (at least, for now). Unfortunately, players should not expect anything major for this new update…

Indeed, the patchnotes only mention the usual “stability fixes”, which means that Nintendo changed and fixed some things in the background, but didn’t deem it necessary to say what exactly.

Adjustments have also been made to make for a more pleasant gaming experience.

To download this update, you don’t have any other option but to launch the game while being connected to the internet: it will be downloaded automatically. Since you cannot play without being connected to the internet in the first place, there is no way for you to play without installing the update first.

To check that you have the latest version, simply launch Nintendo Badge Arcade. You should see the following in the bottom right corner of the top screen:
