Monster Hunter Stories: a look at the latest DLC (Chibi Maruko-chan collab., more), amiibo Otomon

Today is Friday, which means it’s high time to look at the latest batch of additional content for Monster Hunter Stories. This time around, some DLC was released on Monday, with the Chibi Maruko-chan collaboration. It gives you access to a special Sub-Quest (Rank: ★ 3), which unlocks the Chibi Maruko-chan outfit for Nabirou. At the same time, special backgrounds for your Rider Card, along with custome titles, are being distributed.

Here’s some screenshots for that collaboration:

And today, some new DLC went live, with the following:

  • a special Sub-Quest;
  • special VS rules, that allows you to get tickets for Production Quests, in order to craft a special armour;

There’s also the third batch of collaboration quests for Monster Hunter Spirits 2: Triple Soul. Like last time, you need to head to an Arcade Center with that game, in order to download them in Monster Hunter Stories.

Here’s when this third batch of collaboration quests will be available:

  • Quest #1: December 15th and 22nd
  • Quest #2: December 16th and 23rd
  • Quest #3: December 17th and 24th
  • Quest #4: December 18th and 25th
  • Quest #5: December 19th and 26th
  • Quest #6: December 20th and 27th
  • Quest #6: December 21st and 28th

Next, here’s the special Otomon you can unlock using the second wave of Monster Hunter Stories amiibo:

  • Rathian + Cheval: unlocks a special Rathian with lots of slots for skills, making it a rather versatile Otomon;
  • Barioth + Ayuria: unlocks a special Barioth, with lots of slots for skills, and strong ice attacks;
  • Qurupeco + Dan: unlocks a special Qurupeco, with lots of slots for skills, and a strong fire element.

Finally, Monster Hunter Stories is getting a special stage show at the Jump Festa 2017, next week. Mutsumi Tamura (Lute’s voice actress) and Ryouta Ousaka (Cheval’s voice actor) will be on stage, along with other guests in order to talk about the game, the anime series, and more. The stage show will take place from 1PM to 1.45PM on December 18th.
