During yesterday’s Nintendo Direct, a release date for Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam Bros. in North America was finally revealed: January 22nd! It looks like North American fans won’t have too long to wait, since Europe and Japan get the game on December 4th.

But that’s not all: Nintendo also gave some additional details about the game, and more precisely the battle cards. Those allow you to get an extra boost in battle, and there’s a lot of them. Thanks to them, you can increase your attack power, damage enemies, get more coins at the end of the battle, weaken enemies, and much more.

What’s more, you can also use the following amiibo to collect special cards, which are even more powerful:

• Mario (Super Smash Bros. and Super Mario series)
• Peach (Super Smash Bros. and Super Mario series)
• Yoshi (Super Smash Bros. and Super Mario series)
• Luigi (Super Smash Bros. and Super Mario series)
