Today’s Indie news:

  • Playtonic Games
  • Dungeons & Robots

1Mutant Mudds Super Challenge

Looking for a challenge? Did you find Mutant Mudds and Mutant Mudds Deluxe too easy? Do you love pain, suffering, and intense platforming? If your answer to all those questions is “Yes”, then you’ll be glad to hear that Mutant Mudds Super Challenge finally has a release date: March 17th. This was announced last week by Jools Watsham from Renegade Kid, via NintendoLife.

You might be wondering: “Yeah, I guess Europe is going to get left behind again…” and you’re wrong. Thanks to the IARC, both Europe (+ Australia) and North America will get it on the same day.

Mutant Mudds Super Challenge will cost $9.99 / €9.99 / £8.99, and that’s for both versions of the game. You can read that as “the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS versions will cost the same”, but also as “yup, game is cross-buy!”. What’s more, there’s also a special offer: 15% off during the first 30 days if you own the original Mutant Mudds (on the same Nintendo Network ID), or if you downloaded the Nindies@Home Preview during E3.

For those who don’t know, Mutant Mudds Super Challenge features 40 new (and tough as nails) levels, boss battles, 20 playable secret characters, and more.

Playtonic Games

Last week, Playtonic Games (develoeprs of Yooka-Laylee) announced that they had two new employees:
