Fire Emblem Fates: second round of DLC in Japan
Update
The fifth and last map from the second wave of DLC for Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright and Conquest are now available for download!
***Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright and Conquest came out back in June 25th in Japan, and already received two types of DLC:
- the third route, Invisible Kingdom, which is as long as a full game;
- some additional maps, just like those released for Fire Emblem Awakening.
And as many fans expected, the batch of DLC maps will not be the last one. In fact, the second one was announced today, with the first map available right now! Each map costs 250 Yen (with one given away for free), but if you buy the Season Pass, you will get access to all upcoming maps of this second batch for 900 Yen (instead of 1 000 Yen separately).
Here’s the planning for this second batch of DLC:
September 17th
Vanguard’s Trial Map (Difficulty: **): you need to protect a castle from the relentless assault of enemy troops. Features Elincia from Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. Allows you to get an infinite number of Vanguard Emblems (since you can play the map as many times as you want).
September 21st
Anna and the Thieves (Difficulty: *): you need to fight off a group of thieves. Allows you to recruit Anna.
October 1st
The Gunner’s Trial Map (Difficulty: **): a map based on one from the very first Fire Emblem game, with several enemy Ballisiticians to fend off. Completing this map allows you to get an infinite number of Ballistician’s Fort (since you can play the map as many times as you want), that you can use to turn your units into Ballisticians.
Anna’s Gift (Free): a special map which can be only be played once. It gives you access to a Ballistician’s Fort or a Witch’s Magic.
October 8th
Witch’s Trial Map (Difficulty: **): a map based on one from Fire Emblem Gaiden, where you have to fight a lot of enemy Witches. Completing it allows you to get an unlimited supply of Witch’s Magic (since you can play the map as many times as you want), an item which allows you to turn any unit into a Witch.
Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright and Conquest (3DS) comes out next year in Europe and North America.
