Disco Dodgeball Remix
Yesterday, Zen Studios announced their latest game for the Nintendo Switch: Disco Dodgeball Remix, which was originally released on PC (developed by Erik Asmussen). It will be available from May 22nd on the Nintendo eShop, in Europe and North America.
Never heard of the game before? Here’s what it’s all about:
A ridiculously awesome physics-based sport-type-thing, Disco Dodgeball Remix offers up a crazily intense mix of arena-based first-person shooter and classic dodgeball—all played by killer robots whose lethality is only surpassed by their quirky charm. Combatants throw glowing dodgeballs to one-hit-kill their opponents and complete team objectives, using a wide variety of powerups and trick shots—all with skateboard-style movement and a pulsing dance club aesthetic.
And here’s the debut trailer:

Pode
Pode is a co-op exploration game that was announced during the latest Nindies Showcase earlier this year. Today, the developers announced that Austin Wintory, who previously worked on Journey, Banner Saga, and Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, would compose the music for their game.
Focusing on the core Pode themes of friendship and cooperation, Wintory delves into the dynamic between the two game characters, Bulder and Glo, to capture and express the unified voice of the duet. Over an hour long, the score dynamically changes throughout the game, fiddling with the player’s emotions and enhancing the intrinsic beauty of the puzzle solving experience. Inspired by the Norwegian art style of the game, Wintory utilized the sounds of a Hardanger fiddle and other string instruments, tapping into the cultural heritage to create the mystical ambience of the magical mountain and developing a strong link between the art and the sound in Pode.
