Dragon Quest XI: release date to be announced on April 11th during livestream, screens

In the past few weeks, Square-Enix has been showcasing various elements from Dragon Quest XI: Sugisarishi Toki o Motomete, which shows that the company is finally ready to show it a lot more. In fact, development seems to be progressing pretty well, because yesterday, it was announced that the release date would finally be revealed on April 11th, during a special livestream/press conference.

Several people will be in attendance:

  • MC: JOY
  • Guest: Tsubasa Honda (Actress)
  • Staff member: Yuji Horii (Game Design, Scenario)

The presentation will be livestreamed on both Nico Nico and YouTube:

This livestream will take place on April 11th, at:

  • Europe: 7AM
  • UK: 6AM
  • North America (EST): 1AM
  • North America (PST): 10PM (April 10th)
  • Japan: 2PM

Naturally, we will have a separate post for the various announcements made during this livestream, which will also have gameplay demonstrations (presumably for both the Nintendo 3DS and Switch/PS4 versions).

Finally, here’s some “new” screenshots for the game, which cover the same elements showcased via the official website a few days ago (dungeons, towns, fields, and more):

Dragon Quest XI: Sugisarishi Toki o Motomete (3DS, Switch) will be released later this year in Japan. No western release has been confirmed or even hinted at so far.
