Dragon Quest VIII: first official screenshots for the Nintendo 3DS version

A few days ago, we learned from the game’s official website that Square-Enix was working on a Nintendo 3DS version of Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King. Since then, we got various details and scans from video game magazines (even a promotional poster!), but no direct-feed screenshots or trailer.

Just yesterday, we learned (from Famitsu leaks) that the game wouldn’t support stereoscopic 3D.

And today, Square-Enix has finally revealed the very first official (and direct-feed) screenshots for Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King on Nintendo 3DS. They show some of the environments of the game (as well as the map on the bottom screen), some dialogues, some battles and more. There’s also a couple of screenshots for the new scenarios, but they are the same as those shown in game magazines.

Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King (3DS) comes out on August 27th in Japan.
