Dragon Quest VIII to support StreetPass, but no stereoscopic 3D

Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King was announced for the Nintendo 3DS earlier this month, via an official website. Unfortunately, we still do not have any direct-feed screenshots for this version of the game, let alone an actual trailer.

That being said, we keep getting various details about this version of Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King from several magazines. This week, it’s Famitsu’s turn to reveal some new information about the game… but unfortunately, they do not have anything really new to share.

However, the magazine does confirm one thing: Dragon Quest VIII – Journey of the Cursed King on Nintendo 3DS won’t support stereoscopic 3D, so you will have to play in 2D no matter what. StreetPass is also confirmed, but no details are given about it: we’re most likely going to wait a little more before we learn more about this feature (at least until the latest issue of Famitsu magazine is out, this Thursday).
