Dragon Quest: Jump magazine to feature various “scoops” in the next four issues

In its latest issue, Jump magazine is teasing an announcement regarding the Dragon Quest series. But it looks like this is not the only announcement the magazine has up its sleeve: apparently, there will be several “scoops” in the next four issues (July 13, July 20, July 27 and August 3), including new details about Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King on the Nintendo 3DS.

Unfortunately, it’s hard to tell exactly what those scoops may be (besides the new details for Dragon Quest VIII): new games? More details about already-announced titles (such as Dragon Quest Heroes 2)? Special events? One thing to keep in mind: Jump magazine is quite obviously “hyping” itself up in order to increase its sales (which is Famitsu frequently do), and the various announcements may or may not live up to expectations!

Here’s the planning for the upcoming Jump issues (which always leak 4 days ahead of their intended release date):

  • Weekly Jump Issue 33 – July 13
  • Weekly Jump Issue 34 – July 18
  • Weekly Jump Issue 35 – July 27
  • Weekly Jump Issue 36 – August 3
