Dragon Quest VIII on Nintendo 3DS to feature an extra boss and dungeon, announcement teased

Some scans from Jump magazine have leaked, and it looks like Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King on Nintendo 3DS is one of the games showcased this week. The article allows us to learn that this version of the game will feature an extra dungeon and an extra boss (Jahagaros, a giant demon with red tattoos all over its body). The magazine also shows the illustration to be used for the boxart, drawn by Akira Toriyama himself.

But that’s not all: the magazine is also teasing a big announcement for next week. They don’t give any hint, except that the game will really surprise readers who will go all “Nuwaaaa!” when they find out about it. Since “Nuwaaaa!” is a quote from Pankraz (from Dragon Quest V), some Japanese fans are speculating that the announcement is related to that game (maybe a remake).
