Dai Gyakuten Saiban: official countdown – Day 4 and 5

On Thursday, Capcom launched an official countdown campaign for Dai Gyakuten Saiban: Naruhodou Ryuunosuke no Bouken. Of course, it’s not a simple clock ticking down until the game’s release, it’s something much more elaborate and amusing called “Naruhodou Ryuunosuke’s Crime-Filled Week”.

Dai Gyakuten Saiban countdown

Every day until the game’s release, Capcom will upload a special video in which Naruhodou Ryuunosuke is on trial for a crime he’s (supposedly) guilty of. Then, fans will have to go on the official website in order to vote: is he Guilty, or Innocent? Apparently, a simple vote is only worth 1 point… but if you do cast one via Twitter, it counts for 100! If there’s enough points at the end of the voting period (150 000 starting this week), the “Objection” clip for a character will be uploaded.

Verdict for Day 3

Yesterday, Capcom revealed the results of the third vote, and fans decided that Naruhodou Ryuunosuke was guilty of putting his voice actor through “Objection” hell during the recording sessions. The results were: 178 208 points for Guilty, and 169 531 points for Not Guilty. And since enough people voted, Capcom uploaded the voice clip for Asougi Kazuma (his “Objection!”)!

Head after the break for the rest of the post!

Day 4

For Day 4, Naruhodou Ryuunosuke was once again on trial, and this time he was accused of ruining the title of the game. Was “Dai Gyakuten Saiban” really appropriate and not too simple? So… Guilty or not Guilty? Unfortunately, it’s too late to vote!

Verdict for Day 4

This morning, Capcom revealed the results of the fourth vote, and fans decided that Naruhodou Ryuunosuke was not to be found guilty of picking up an unappropriate title for the game. The results were: 54 239 points for Guilty, and 112 700 points for Not Guilty. And since enough people voted, Capcom uploaded the voice clip for Sherlock Holmes (his “Objection!”)!

Day 5

For Day 5, Naruhodou Ryuunosuke is once again on trial, and this time he’s accused of not behaving like a proper attorney while in the courtroom. After all, his eyes just keep darting all over the place, his knees shake non-stop behind the witness’ desk… Shouldn’t an Attorney (let alone an Ace Attorney) have better nerves that that? So… Guilty or not Guilty? Head to the official website in order to cast your vote!

Dai Gyakuten Saiban: Naruhodou Ryuunosuke no Bouken (3DS) comes out on Thursday in Japan.
