Devil Survivor 2 – Record Breaker: Fate System trailer

Yesterday evening, Atlus USA uploaded a brand new trailer for Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker, focusing on the Fate system. On the battlefield, you’ll get to chat with the various characters, which will strengthen your bonds with them (just make sure you don’t do it while someone is in danger!). Increasing your Fate level helps drive the story along, but it also allows you to get some nice bonuses.

For starters, your allies start getting elemental resistances. Then, when their Fate level is high enough, they can unlock join skill cracking (skill cracking is how you get unlock new skills: you kill monsters, and using that technique doubles your chance to get the skill). That means that your protagonist can unlock skills his allies are targetting. Finally, increasing the Fate level allows you to unlock new demons.

Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker (3DS) comes out on May 5th in North America.
