Dark Deity (turn-based tactical RPG) announced for Nintendo Switch, out next year in Europe and North America

Freedom Games have announced their latest game for the Nintendo Switch: Dark Deity, a turn-based tactical RPG heavily inspired by the Fire Emblem series, and developed by Sword and Axe. It will be released sometime in 2022 in Europe and North America.

Here’s a trailer, some details, and some screenshots for the game:

Command 30 memorable characters voiced by talent including Kira Buckland (Nier Automata, Persona 5 Strikers, Demon Slayer.) Wield their abilities in battle and experiment with 50 unlockable classes. Experience a variety of paths through the story with three difficulty settings, a built-in randomizer, and a system that reimagines “perma-death” mechanics called Grave Wounds. Instead of removing units from the party permanently, the Grave Wounds system gives units permanent stat penalties when their health reaches zero to emulate physical injuries or mental scars. Units will have to adapt to their wounds and discover new tactics to achieve victory.

Dark Deity (Switch – eShop) does not have a release date yet, but is slated for a 2022 release in Europe and North America.
