eastasiasoft have announced their latest game for the Nintendo Switch: 0 Degrees, an icy puzzle platformer developed by Nerd Games and Kiddo Dev. It will be released on May 19th in Europe and North America.

Here’s a trailer, some details, the list of key features, and some screenshots for the game:

Offering 40 levels of single-screen challenges, 0 Degrees is designed to be a simple but challenging affair, made deeper and more dynamic by unique physics-based elements. Players can form ice blocks to negotiate the wide variety of environmental puzzles. Blocks can be stacked, thrown, laid on top of traps or used to trigger switches. It’s up to the player to get creative and find a path from each stage’s entry to the exit portal.

A snow-covered wonderland of platforming action awaits in 0 Degrees, a chill puzzle experience for players of any age or skill level! Take control of a bundled-up pixel art climber as they make their way across icefields, up frosted peaks, through dark caves and over treacherous pitfalls! Help them survive mysterious hazards and overcome brain-teasing obstacles that span 40 unique levels.

The objective is simple, to navigate single-screen challenges from entry to exit, then warp to the next level of escalating complexity. Locate and unlock warp points by activating switches, opening doors and finding special crystals. You’ll even be able to form ice blocks to help you negotiate dangerous gaps or reach high ledges. Stack them on top of one another, knock them over or toss them on top of spikes and switches. And if you get in a tight spot or plummet off a cliff, no worries! You can restart at the beginning of any level you’ve reached, allowing you to try again or go for better times.

Ships 2022

Ultimate Games have announced their latest game for the Nintendo Switch: Ships 2022. Developed by Games Box, it mixes economic strategy game and simulation with elements of an action game. It will be released in 2020 in Europe and North America.

Here’s a trailer and some details:

“Ships 2022 is a continuation of Ships 2017 and at the same time a completely new and fresh opening for the brand. We are preparing very diverse gameplay, which will consist of a strategic and a simulation part. In the first one, we will manage the development of our own port complex – here Ships 2022 will be an extensive economic strategy. The second half of the game, however, will consist of conducting various sea expeditions, where we will manage, for example, a tanker or a rescue unit in order to perform specific tasks” – said Tomasz Supeł, CEO at Games Box S.A.

As announced by the developers, Ships 2022 will offer an open world with ports modelled on real locations and the vast waters of the world ocean. The creators plan to provide players with various ships, including, for example, container ships, tankers, cruise ships, icebreakers and rescue units.

The game will also distinguish itself through, among other things, its realistic approach (including a daily time system) and considerable randomness (including changing weather conditions).

“Ports and ships constitute one of the key elements in the entire bloodstream of international trade. In Ships 2022, we want to bring players closer to this fascinating world. Managing the port complex, as well as individual units and employees, will be a refreshing challenge for fans of economic strategies. The ability to independently lead various sea expeditions will, in turn, be a great diversion, as there is no place for boredom here either – there’s something really special in sailing the seas and oceans” – added Tomasz Supeł.
